Green Screen
Things we have learned in our green screen attempts.
As always, the subject (speaker or performer) must not wear green colors; those will show up as holes in their body.
In a green screen room such as the one in the large studio at WinCAM, reflective surfaces such as music stands or shiny musical instruments will catch reflections of the green walls and make holes in the final product.
Studio settings are helpful to control lighting: a musician facing down to see their instrument and fingers will have a dark area near the face; supplementary lighting from below will help a great deal.
Lighting should not be harsh -- diffused is better.
Portable green screen shooting requires more attention to lighting since bright lighting and shadows on the video clip might not align with the lighting in the live AR space.
